Kevin Murphy serves as the Assurance Director at Meadows Urquhart. Kevin provides high-quality audit and assurance services to clients across a wide range of industries. A graduate of the University of Virginia with a B.S. in Accounting, Kevin brings deep technical knowledge, strong client relationships, and a commitment to excellence to every engagement.

Kevin is known for his ability to listen closely, understand client challenges, and deliver thoughtful, practical solutions. His decades of experience, paired with a strong focus on audit quality,set him apart as a trusted advisor. He is also passionate about developing the next generation of accountants, collaborating with teams, and creating an environment where people can grow and succeed.

His industry specializations include real estate, construction, manufacturing, employee benefit plan audits, and IFRS audits, including foreign-owned subsidiaries operating in the United States.

Kevin was drawn to Meadows Urquhart because of its sense of community and its culture of caring. He believes the firm’s “tone at the top” creates a supportive environment where people look out for one another, and he strives to contribute to that culture through leadership, mentorship, and an emphasis on integrating technology into the assurance practice.

Outside of work, Kevin enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, golfing, coaching youth sports, including basketball, soccer, baseball, flag football, and volleyball, and attending college football and basketball games.
