Desiree is a Partner at Meadows Urquhart. With over 20 years of experience, she specializes in individual and trust taxation, working closely with high-net-worth individuals, financial services professionals, and entrepreneurial clients. She is highly experienced in navigating the tax implications of alternative investments and in collaborating with clients and their financial advisors to create thoughtful, tax-efficient planning strategies.

Within the firm, Desiree leads the firm’s tax department. She is passionate about training and developing staff. She believes deeply in teaching the “why behind the how,” ensuring team members understand the foundational concepts that empower them to provide consultative, value-added service. Helping newer professionals grow into confident, knowledgeable advisors is one of her greatest professional joys.

Desiree loves the flexibility that public accounting provides, especially the ability to be present for her family. She also appreciates the strong network she has built throughout her career, the rewarding relationships with clients, the partnerships with advisors, and the friendships that have developed within the firm and the broader community.

Outside of work, Desiree is usually on a sideline cheering on her children, and she loves to escape on a good vacation.
