Staff Accountant
Elen Khachatryan is a Staff Accountant at Meadows Urquhart. A graduate of Randolph-Macon College with a double major in Mathematics and Physics, Elen enjoys the many learning opportunities offered to her every day at Meadows Urquhart. Working alongside some of the veterans in the field, she enjoys expanding her knowledge and skillset—gaining not only theoretical understanding but also a hands-on experience in accounting as well as accounting-related legal matters & tax codes. Elen offers strong attention to detail, enthusiasm on the job, and excitement to learn, grow, and improve with every project.
What “In Your Shoes” Means to Me
"The expression 'In Your Shoes' to me means to empathize with the person—to experience reality and look at the world from their perspective. To understand their decision-making process and to determine the actions I would (need to) undertake I had experienced the same set of conditions. I first try to carefully consider and examine all of the potential "why" -s that majorly influence(d) the subject in question and their possible answers. Analyzing the correlations between the "what" -s and the "why" -s is the key step in establishing the relevant links and understanding the person and being 'in their shoes'."
